The Urbana office the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Central District of Illinois will be closed to the public on Thursday, August 27 so employees may attend special training. Staff will be available via telephone from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Self-represented parties may file documents by mail, use the drop box in the lobby of the courthouse, or the Electronic Document Submission System (EDSS). If you are paying a filing fee using our drop box in the lobby, the Clerk’s Office will only accept money orders, cashier’s checks, or firm checks made payable to: Clerk, U.S. Bankruptcy Court. DO NOT deposit cash in the drop box or mail cash for a filing fee.
