The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of Illinois is pleased to announce the formation of a Liaison and Local Rules Committee to assist the Court in maintaining and developing local rules and procedures to promote the just, speedy, and inexpensive determination of every case and proceeding. The Committee comprises members of the bankruptcy bar in the Central District of Illinois and is chaired by Heather Giannino (Heavner, Beyers & Mihlar). Other inaugural members include Sumner Bourne (Rafool & Bourne); Kevin Hays (Chapter 12/13 Trustee’s Office); Andrew Erickson (Law Office of Andrew Erickson); John Hoelzer (U.S. Attorney’s Office); Jeana Reinbold (Sgro, Hanrahan, Durr, Rabin & Reinbold); Rachael Stokas (Office of the Illinois Attorney General); John VanDeVelde (Buckrop & VanDeVelde); Amira Vicari Hills (Westervelt, Johnson, Nicoll & Keller); and Jamie Wiley (U.S. Trustee’s Office).
The public and the bar are invited to contact the Committee, either through one of its members or by emailing RulesCommittee@ilcb.uscourts.gov, with suggestions on improving the local rules and procedures in the district. Suggestions should concern general procedures rather than case-specific matters. The Committee will consider proposed revisions or additions to the local rules and procedures and provide recommendations to the Court for its consideration.
The Court thanks Ms. Giannino and the committee members for their efforts in improving the bankruptcy practice in the Central District of Illinois.
