ECF TIPS FOR TRUSTEE/UST

1. Make sure that you are using your trustee login and not your attorney login.  Access to Trustee/UST events is limited to trustee logins.
2. Proceedings memos are "text only" events. Go to Bankruptcy>Trustee’s 341 Filings
3. Chapter 13 Trustees should file a Chapter 13 Confirmation Report in addition to a Proceedings Memo after the 341 Meeting has been held.
Springfield Confirmation Report Form
  Peoria/Danville Confirmation Report Form

4. Each objection to claim must be filed as a separate document.
  Select Bankruptcy>Claim Actions>Objection to Claim
The Notice of Objection to Claim with certificate of service can be filed as a single PDF using the Objection to Claim event.

5. Trustees should print their own 341 calendars as the court will no longer send them.

Go to Bankruptcy>Reports>Calendar Events
Leave the Case Number and Judge Boxes empty
Select the appropriate Office and Chapter
Select "341 Calendar" from the Calendar Events Box
Select the date and am/pm or both
Select "Run Report"
6. E-mail any notices requiring information that must be inserted by the Clerk's Office to the following address:
Peoria Cases           notices_peoria@ilcb.uscourts.gov
Springfield Cases   notices_springfield@ilcb.uscourts.gov
Danville Cases        notices_danville@ilcb.uscourts.gov
The notices must be in Word or WordPerfect format, not PDF. The Clerk's Office will add the necessary information before filing and servicing the notice.

7. Some documents commonly filed by trustees can be e-filed as a "batch".  These include Confirmation Report, Chapter 13 Plan Recommendation, Motion to Dismiss Case, and Interim Report.

Go to Bankruptcy>Batch Filings
Enter the case numbers
Verify that you have entered the correct case numbers -Does the case number match name of debtor?
Select the type of document you are filing
Browse for the pdf

Using the Batch Filing option should save you some time and make e-filing easier.
