ECF Registration
For Attorneys Who Do Not Use ECF In Another District

Attorneys must personally attend our ECF Training Class or attend an online training session (new November 2011) and submit a short training exercise before the court will issue a login and password to our ECF database. Attorneys attending on-site training that will be bringing staff members may wish to register them separately if both the attorney and the staff person(s) would like their own workstation to use for hands-on training (see "Register staff for CM/ECF training or retraining") on the previous Web page.  Please insure you have the required hardware and software before you attend our training.  (Hardware/Software Requirements)

The Bankruptcy Judges in the Central District of Illinois expect attorneys who electronically file documents using the court's CM/ECF electronic filing system to be admitted to practice in this District.  For information about obtaining Admission to Practice, go to the Illinois Central District Court website at www.ilcd.uscourts.gov.

For attorneys requiring limited access to file pleadings such as notices of appearances, reaffirmation agreements, and proofs of claim, click here to register for limited access.  Limited access registration does not require Admission to Practice in this District.

The registration for training must be completed on-line.  Please read the instructions carefully.  You will receive confirmation of your registration by email.

Begin the registration process by selecting a location below.  All on-site training classes are held at the bankruptcy courthouse in the city for which you register.
