Creditor/Claimants are a special category of ECF users who have limited filing privileges.

Refer to How To Obtain a Creditor/Claimant Login/Password for more information

1. Be sure you are familiar with the electronic filing policies in the Central District of Illinois. Refer to the Third Amended General Order Authorizing Electronic Case Filing.
2. Be sure you use our ECF Data Entry Standards when entering names and address into ECF.
3. Any documentation supporting the actual proof of claim must be filed as an attachment to the claim in a separate pdf. Refer to the procedure How to File a Claim.
4. Is your transfer/assignment of claim jointly stipulated with notice waived?  Refer to the procedure Assignment/Transfer of Claim.
5. To file a Withdrawal of a previously filed claim, Go to Bankruptcy>Withdrawal of Claim.
You must attach a document in pdf format that indicates the case number, the claimant, and the claim number of the claim being withdrawn.
6. If you filed a claim and inadvertently failed to include one or more of the attachments, you must file an amended claim with all attachments. You will need to know the claim number of the originally filed claim.
Go to Bankruptcy>File Claims.
After you enter the case number and claimant, you will see a fill-in box at the top of the screen in which you must enter the claim number of the claim you are amending.
