CM/ECF Attorney Training

Note: Attorneys are required to attend session personally to obtain CM/ECF login and password.

The CM/ECF Attorney/Staff class is very “hands-on” and will allow attorneys and their staff to become familiar with electronic case filing in a controlled, non-threatening environment.

This course will focus on the most common pleadings that attorneys will be filing on behalf of clients.  Attorneys who do take-home exercises will need to have them completed and assessed before receiving a login to the “live” CM/ECF system.

The following subjects will be addressed:

Necessary Computer Equipment and Skills for CM/ECF (overview)
How to Open a Bankruptcy Case using CM/ECF
How to Open an Adversary Case using CM/ECF
How to File a Motion with Certificate of Service
How to Upload & Link an Order
Filing Proofs of Claim with attachments
Creating Reports (Cases Report, Claims Register, Docket Report)
 User Maintenance
Review of the take-home assignment (for those receiving a live login)
 Questions & Answers

Note:

New staff or staff wishing to return for ‘refresher’ training are welcome to register for additional training (attorney need not accompany staff).
